How to get more warehouse space without moving

Before you lease a bigger building, look up. Most warehouses have metres of unused height sitting above head level.

Leasing or building bigger is expensive and slow. In most warehouses there's a far cheaper option already in the building: the empty air above the floor.

Use the height you already pay for

A mezzanine floor turns unused headroom into a second level of usable space. You keep your site, avoid a move, and often double the floor area within the same footprint.

Quick wins before you expand

  • Add a mezzanine for storage, offices or assembly over the existing floor
  • Combine it with racking to stack storage and free the ground level
  • Tidy the layout so aisles and staging aren't eating productive space
  • Grow it in stages with extension bays as you need them

The maths usually favours staying put

A mezzanine is a fraction of the cost of a bigger building, with little to no groundwork and a fast, bolt-together install. You add the space in days, not months, and keep operating while it goes in.
