Privacy Policy
Altivo, a division of Superior Fabrication Limited
Effective date: September 2026
We respect your privacy and look after the personal information you give us. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the Privacy Act 2020. It applies to this website, to enquiries and orders you make with us, and to the projects we work on for you.
1. What we collect
When you enquire or request a quote: your name, company, email address, phone number, and the details of your project, such as the size of your space, its location and how you intend to use it.
When you buy online: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and the details of your order. Your card details are entered directly on our payment provider's secure page and never reach us; see section 3.
When you use the website: limited technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, collected through analytics as described in section 5. This does not usually identify you.
2. How we use it
We use your information to respond to enquiries and provide quotations, to process and deliver orders, to communicate with you about your project or order, to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and to improve our website and services. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
3. Payments
Online payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay, you are on Stripe's secure payment page, and your card number and security code go to Stripe and not to us. We receive confirmation that the payment succeeded, the amount, and the last four digits of the card for our records. Stripe's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is needed to do the work you have asked for or to run our business:
- Our payment provider, Stripe, to take payment.
- Freight carriers, to deliver your order, who receive your name, delivery address and phone number.
- Engineers, contractors and consultants involved in your project.
- The services that run this website, including our email delivery provider and Google, whose tools we use for analytics and to keep a record of enquiries.
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers.
- Government agencies or courts where the law requires it.
Each of these is required to keep your information secure and to use it only for the purpose we shared it.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it, which helps us improve it. Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, and the general area you are visiting from. It does not tell us who you are. Our forms use a spam-protection service that may set a cookie to tell people from automated bots. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may not.
6. Where your information is held
Some of the services we use, including Stripe, Google and our email provider, store information on servers outside New Zealand, mainly in the United States and Australia. We only use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.
7. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure. Information is stored in secure, access-controlled systems. We keep it for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and for as long as the law requires: order and payment records are kept for seven years to meet tax obligations, and project records for the life of any warranty. If we become aware of a privacy breach that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Privacy Commissioner as the Privacy Act requires.
8. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. We will respond within 20 working days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to us first, and if we cannot resolve it, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
